Cocktail Lamp Variants

2 Clamps with a twist. Regular ones here. The "Double" variant could get another version in the near future, to see which ruleset would work best. Here are the added rules :

Double : Each region can have up to 2 shaded blocks. A ? can be any non-zero integer.

Tapa Clues : Numbers represent the lengths of the blocks of consecutive shaded cells in the (up to) eight cells surrounding the clue. Numbers aren't necessarily in order. A ? can be any non-zero integer. Clues cannot be shaded.

Thanks to Rook for testing and feedback on 1st puzzle, and Wessel on both puzzles.

Cocktail Lamp 🍸🔦

Cocktail Lamp (I use clamp for short) (no idea why that name) is a shading genre. You can find an older one here, but today's post is part of an old set when I first discovered the genre. Here are the rules :

Shade some cells on the board to form blocks.

- Regions contain no more than one block, which is an orthogonally connected group of shaded cells.
- A number indicates the size of the block in the region.
- Shaded cells cannot be adjacent across region borders.
- The shaded cells cannot form a 2x2 square.
- All blocks form a diagonally contiguous area.

Rules taken from puzz.link - click here for a solved example.

Here are the first 3 puzzles from a set of 9. The rest will be published in 2 more blocks of 3.

Thanks to WSPC France discord for feedback.

Shading Shake #2

Another Shading puzzle pack for you. I tried to reach for lesser known genres, and kept the difficulty to a maximum of "medium" (as opposed to the first post lmao). Smullyanic Dynasty was found on Zotmeister's blog, and I will assume he is the creator of the genre (meaning the first puzzle with these rules). Since Tetrochain CBT was already shown here, I won't cover the rules again, but Smullyanic Dynasty deserves a quick explanation (the rules witten on Zotmeister's blog are way too long, so I reworded them to get straight to the point.) Hope you find these puzzles enjoyable.

    Smullyanic Dynasty rules :

Shade some cells in the grid.

- Shaded cells may never share an edge.

- Unshaded numbers indicate the amount of shaded cells in all 8 surrounding cells.

- Shaded cells must indicate a different number from the amount of shaded cells on the 9 cell-square centered on itself. See shaded numbers as liars in regards of the counting shaded cells rules, but counting itself.

- All unshaded cells must from a single orthogonally connected group.

Door Hinge (easy)

Smullyanic Dynasty (easy to medium)

Tetrochain CBT (medium)
